Steel Cut Oats

Ingredients
 4 cups water
 4 cups 1% milk
 2 cups steel cut oats
 1 tsp cinnamon
 ¼ tsp salt
Toppings:
 2 bananas sliced
 Sprinkle of brown sugar
 Raisins
 Homemade strawberry jam
Method
1

Place a large saucepan or soup pot on the stove over medium-high heat.

Measure 4 cups of water and add it to the pan.

Measure 4 cups of milk and add it to the pan.

Bring liquid to a boil, stirring often so the milk does not burn.

Once the liquid is boiling, add 2 cups of steel cut oats, 1 teaspoon cinnamon and ¼ teaspoon salt. Stir.

Turn the heat down to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, for 25 minutes. Make sure you stir the oats often so the milk does not burn.
